Do PPO Plans Provide Prescription Coverage?

Most Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans will provide prescription drug coverage. Again, you will need to check with the plan to see if it does provide coverage. However, keep in mind that if you join a PPO plan that doesn’t have prescription coverage, you will not be able to join a Medicare Part D plan.

Do SNPs Provide Prescription Coverage?

All Special Needs Plans (SNPs) are required to provide prescription drug coverage.

Do PFFS Plans Provide Prescription Coverage?

Private Fee-For-Service (PFFS) plans may or may not cover prescription drugs. If you join a PFFS plan that does not include prescription drug coverage, you can join a standalone Part D plan.
